I found learning the shortcuts makes life easier when painting in PS. and lurking on deviantart you can find some nice tutorials and brushes to make life easier haha. You seem like you’re off to a decent start so far at least :)

Nice job! Well, for tips, just experiment with a whole bunch of stuff. Clipping masks, pathways and layer options, brush options, anything in general. Keep up the great stuff :)
